CRT 15th Anniversary Events
2019 is a big year for FCRT, as we celebrate the 15th year on the Trail!
We have a wide variety of events set for the year, join us for one or more!

Help toast the 15th Anniversary of the Trail with us on Wednesday, May 22.
Join Dennis Pace for a journey along the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) – one of the nation’s premier destination trails – as he explores the fundamentals and the impact of a truly “Great” trail.
You’ll enjoy learning how the GAP can be a model for cross-state, destination trails in Michigan. Dennis will also provide an update on the Great Lake-to-Lake Trail Route #1, which extends from South
Haven to Port Huron and includes the Clinton River Trail.

Wanted: Toes and Heels to Help Meals on Wheels Saturday, June 1
Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Clinton River Trail, National Trails Day and the generosity of the community at the annual OPC 5K Run and Walk for Meals Saturday, June 1, 2019 starting at 8 a.m. All ages of walkers and runners are welcome to participate and all proceeds will benefit the OPC Meals on Wheels program to assist homebound seniors.

The route along the Clinton River Trail is flat, with one hill at the end. All participants who pre-register are guaranteed a t-shirt; refreshments include 15th anniversary Clinton River Trail mix, courtesy of Kar’s Nuts. The starting line at the OPC is 650 Letica Dr., Rochester, MI 48307. Details at opcseniorcenter.org.

Given the chilly temps, a sizeable crowd joined FCRT for the 15th Anniversary Year kickoff.
Kevin Hanson of Hanson's Running Shop was our guest speaker at our 2019 kick-off event.
Kevin Hanson presents a $500 donation for the Trail to FCRT President Richard Harrison.
FCRT attended the Auburn Hills Council meeting on Feb. 11 where the City presented a proclamation marking the 15th year of the CRT in their community.
Auburn Hills Mayor Kevin McDaniel congratulates FCRT on the 15th Anniversary of the Trail.
