The H.A.W.K. Beacon at Orchard Lake Road
Opened in May 2014, the H.A.W.K. (HAWK stands for High Intensity Activated CrossWalK) beacon at Orchard Lake Road in Sylvan Lake has been a long time coming, and provides a safe trail crossing across this busy roadway.
To help familiarize users with this relatively new form of traffic control device, FCRT has put together a brochure and video to help educate trail users (and drivers).
To download a PDF of the brochure, click here.
Please feel free to share the video with anyone who may not be familiar with a HAWK crossing.
