Friends of the Clinton River Trail (FCRT) is a volunteer, nonprofit, citizen group committed to promoting the Clinton River Trail as a safe and enjoyable destination. We work closely with the five cities that own the trail on standards, maintenance, development, and beautification. FCRT activities include:

  • managing this website and social media accounts

  • updating and publishing digital and printed Clinton River Trail maps and the semi-annual Trailways newsletter

  • hosting events along the trail to showcase and encourage its use

  • organizing work days and trail clean-ups with support from area organizations and employers

  • preparing trail advocacy presentations to each city’s legislative body to encourage proper trail maintenance

  • hosting Clinton River Trail Alliance meetings to foster collaboration and cohesion among the cities

How to Get Involved

Trails don’t just happen. They require love and attention from folks that use and enjoy them. Folks like you. No special skills are required other than a desire to support the trail community.  Please drop FCRT a note at clintonrivertrail@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out.  Better yet, just show up at any of the regular FCRT meetings.  Meetings are typically held on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Community Center.
