The Clinton River Trail is twenty years-old this year. To celebrate the occasion, Friends of the Clinton River Trail has partnered with the Detroit Institute of Arts and the five trail communities to host the installation of artwork as part of the DIA’s Inside|Out program. A total of eight images from the DIA’s collection are located along the 16 mile length of the trail. Each image is accompanied by a brief explanation of its origin and background on the artist. Displays are intended for viewing during daylight hours by trail users and the general public. Although the artwork is located on the trail, convenient parking is available near each photograph or painting for easy access by interested non-trail users.
